Judy Mullan
Dr Judy Mullan (PhD, FSHPA, BA, BPharm) is a Senior Lecturer and the Academic Leader: Research and Critical Appraisal for the Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Wollongong.
In her current role, Dr Judy Mullan is responsible for leading, coordinating and managing the Research and Critical Analysis (RCA) theme within all four phases of the University of Wollongong medical degree program. In addition to this substantive academic role, Judy is the Deputy Director of the Illawarra & Southern Practice Research Network (ISPRN) and was formerly the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute (IHMRI) theme leader (scientific) for Ageing and Chronic Conditions.
Her research areas of interest include:
• medical education
• health literacy;
• the quality use of medicines;
• health professional/patient education and communication.
She has collaborated on research projects with multiple national and international universities and has been successful in procuring over $2.75 million of research funding. To date, she has published three book chapters (one currently in press), contributed to the publication of over 40 peer reviewed journal articles and delivered over 70 national/international conference presentations.
