Sue M Taylor
Sue is a Lecturer and UG and PG Unit Co-Ordinator in the School of Accountancy at the QUT Business School with more than two decades of academic experience. Sue received an eight year scholarship (part-time) to complete her doctorate at the University of Melbourne in her primary field of research which focuses on the impact of regulatory reforms in the Australian superannuation industry on the rights and benefits of superannuation fund members.
Adopting a political economics perspective, Sue has been actively engaged in disseminating her research findings through presentations at international conferences, in journal articles and through, most recently, a submission to the Federal Government review into the superannuation industry. As the recipient of multiple Vice Chancellors’ awards for her Outstanding Contribution to the University through her innovative teaching practices, and three Lecturer of the Year awards, Sue’s second research stream is in accounting education where she has presented a wide range of national and international conference papers and published, most recently, in the Higher Education Research and Development Journal and a special edition, Springer, international publication on Learning in Higher Education
