Rebecca Sealey

Associate Professor Sealey has been working at JCU since 2001. Associate Professor Sealey is the Director, Academic Program Quality for the Academy, after serving as the Director Academic Quality and Strategy for the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine. Associate Professor Sealey previously served eight years as the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching, and is a Fellow of Exercise and Sports Science Australia. In her current position Asscociate Professor Sealey is a member of the Vice Chancellors Academic Group, Academy Executive, Academic Board, Digital Advisory Committe, Curriculum Committee (deputy Chair), and Education Committee; and leads the Academic Pathways, Academic Services, Curriculum Management and Accreditation, Learning Technology, Professional Programs, and Academic Partnerships and Projects units for the Academy, overseeing quality assurance and support for program design, delivery and review. Associate Professor Sealey worked for over a decade in the JCU Sport and Exercise Science discipline and coordinated the Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (Clinical) and Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology (Clinical) courses. Associate Professor Sealey has a research track record in clinical curriculum design and assessment, exercise for chronic disease management, sports performance enhancement, and scholarly learning and teaching practice. Associate Professor Sealey has supervised PhD projects on reducing sedentary behaviour in the workplace and on optimising sports recovery.
