This presentation describes an Office for Learning and Teaching funded project investigating postgraduate student experiences in Australia. The broad project aims are to undertake analysis of postgraduate student experiences and establish evidence based recommendations that can be used to impact and enhance Australia’s postgraduate students’ broad experiences. Since January, the project team has facilitated engagement events with postgraduate students in all eight States/Territories and conducted interviews with twenty postgraduate students and twenty academics across the country. The presentation will focus on preliminary results including emerging themes regarding student experience, perceived strengths, needs for improvement and strategies.
