Workplace learning is an essential strategy of professional education university courses to prepare students for their future work roles and make connections between what they learn in university classes and the exigencies of the workplace. The practical purpose of this project, led by Charles Sturt University, is to explore how students can make better and more appropriate use of their personal digital devices for learning while on placement. The aim of the project is to build, test and evaluate a mobile technology capacity-building framework for WPL to help students, academic teachers and workplace educators in placements achieve a shared understanding of ways in which students’ personal mobile digital devices can best be used. In this presentation we discuss achievements to date.
