Karey Harrison

Dr Karey Harrison has been teaching at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) since 1992, and is Senior Lecturer in Communication Studies. Before this she spent five years teaching philosophy at a number of universities across the US, including a Mellon Fellowship at Rice University. In 2011 Dr Harrison received USQ Faculty and University Awards for Teaching Excellence. Her teaching and research focus on the nature of human reasoning, cognition and communication. Dr Harrison has been experimenting with ways of embedding Information Research Skills in courses and programs for over two decades. She is recognised by peers and members of the wider community as an excellent speaker, and since 2006 has been in the top 1% of Al Gore’s Climate presenters.
