Jatnika Hermawan

Jatnika Hermawan worked for 6 years in teachers empowerment tasks under Ministry of Education, Republic of Indonesia. He was appointed secretary of the Better Education through Reformed Management and Universal Teacher Upgrading (BERMUTU) Project in Directorate of Teacher Empowernment in Primary Education-collaborated with World Bank in 2010. Previously, Jatnika served as teacher trainer, coaching teacher assistance in science for Banten province. He has also involved as facilitator in science teacher trainings conducted by USAID DBE2 for West Java-Banten area. As his background was also Chemistry, he is doing PhD on two threads, the biochemical tread and the educational thread at Massey University, New Zealand. In educational thread, he specializes inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. His study aims to investigate the nature of student inquiry in an undergraduate biochemistry laboratory class.
