I joined RMIT in 1987 and after five years teaching in business moved into curriculum development. Following involvement in the roll out of the outcomes based 'capability agenda' in the early 2000s I have managed curriculum development and improvement projects across 10 Schools in the College of Science, Engineering and Health (SEH). These included a number of policy implementation projects, most recently the validation of the AQF standards across SEH. This also included the development of the Curriculum Design Tool (CDT), a software programme for aligning assessment, course (unit) level objectives and program (course) level graduate learning outcomes. The tool has been adopted across RMIT and I am currently working on the integration of the CDT into a larger enterprise-wide program and course information management system.
