Barbara Kensington-Miller

Barbara Kensington-Miller is a senior lecturer and academic developer in the Centre for Learning and Research (CLeaR) at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She holds a doctorate in mathematics education and is currently interested in researching issues around the development and support of early career academics, in particular, investigating peer mentoring, academic identity and threshold concepts. She is also leading a large government funded project investigating the learning outcomes that are invisible on transcripts and not formally assessed such as communication, persistence, and affect, and designing tools to measure these.
