Christine Ewan

Professor Christine Ewan is an experienced independent consultant specialising in qualitative evaluation in education, higher education regulation and policy, educational programme evaluation, and health professions education and accreditation. She has extensive senior executive experience in higher education and in government education department, including ministerial appointments to numerous national committees on school education, higher education, health and research. She is a key associate with PhillipsKPA consultants to government and higher education providers, and has qualifications in medicine, arts and education. She is an Emeritus Professor with the University of Wollongong, and was awarded an Order of Australia for contribution to health professions education. Professor Ewan was the chief researcher on the literature review of accreditation theory and practice for the PhillipsKPA 2017 report on professional accreditation in higher education for the Australian Government’s Department of Education and Training (PhillipsKPA, 2017).
