Helen Wozniak

Helen Wozniak is the Academic Director (e-Learning, Evaluation and Research) for Flinders University in the Northern Territory. My career began as an orthoptist in rural NSW, then later as student supervisor at a large teaching hospital in Sydney under the guidance of the late Prof Fred Hollows. In 1990 I joined the University of Sydney moving from curriculum reform and lecturing in the discipline of ophthalmology, project management of e-learning projects, to clinical skills curriculum development in the Faculty of Medicine. In 2008 I left Sydney moving to the Northern Territory to lead the Academic Development Team at Charles Darwin University before taking up my current role. I have a particular interest in actively engaging health science students across dispersed learning spaces, the development of collaborative learning communities and creating new models of peer review for clinical supervisors. I am currently involved in curriculum development and evaluation of all programs across the Northern Territory and fostering the research capacity of FlindersNT staff.
