The Global Canopy project is a strategic commissioned project led by RMIT, with partners across four representative universities: Deakin University, Central Queensland University, The University of Sydney, University of Western Sydney and The University of Newcastle. The aim of the Canopy is to examine learning opportunities between outbound domestic students and inbound international students to identify evidence-based good practice in organised learning relationships; engage greater numbers of academic staff in exploring global mobility in the represented disciplines; and showcase opportunities for improved pedagogy in global mobility. The project has, as one key impact, increased interest in disciplinary global mobility by domestic students, along with the building of academic staff capacity.
